Our History

The Doha Rugby Football Club, located in Doha, Qatar, has a rich history that spans several decades. It began its journey in 1974 when a group of expatriate workers from various rugby-playing nations came together to establish a rugby club in the growing city of Doha.  Originally known as the Qatar Rugby Union Football Club, the club was later renamed the Doha Rugby Football Club.

In its early years, the club faced challenges in terms of finding suitable playing facilities and resources. However, the founding members were determined to create a vibrant rugby community in Doha.
